The Roman Theater Museum of Cartagena offers the possibility of holding a workshop for schoolchildren aimed at understanding theater in Rome and how ancient theatrical works have come down to us. So we will learn how it was written, where the books were kept and what the theatrical performances were like.

CONTENT

History of Carthago Nova and the Roman theater. How was writing done in Rome? Materials, instruments and where and how the books were kept. It will be investigated how the theatrical works have been preserved and have come down to us.

METHODOLOGY :

The objective of this workshop is for students to acquire knowledge about what writing and plays were like during the Roman Empire, with further development in the field of writing media and methods.

To do this, they will first be provided with a brief explanation of the content through an audiovisual presentation, to later develop a dynamic visit based on working with replicas of the writing instruments and materials, in which they will have to make use of the knowledge previously shown.
