THEATER ROMANO CARTAGENA FOUNDATION ACTION PLAN FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2024

Since 2023, the Museum of the Roman Theater Museum of Cartagena and its Foundation have been addressing a new Action Plan, a planning and programming instrument, which continues a practice that began in 2003, and which has allowed the Institution to have four Plans. of Action that have successively drawn up the strategic lines that start from addressing the Comprehensive Project for the recovery of the Roman Theater and its Museum to its launch and its first ten years of activity. 

In the current Plan 2023-2026, a new roadmap has been outlined that seeks to normalize the dynamics of the Museum after the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, renew and improve the exhibition discourse in relation to research advances. in the Museum, as well as implementing the tasks of the archaeological warehouse and the Center for Architectural Studies, has also been marked with the beginning of interventions in the western post scaenam portico with the ultimate goal of its comprehensive recovery and opening to the public.

To which we must add the Museum's firm intention to recover its budget stability in these next four years through efficient and responsible management, in accordance with the principles of good governance and financial optimization, as well as consolidate the lines of work developed in the previous year. , which is why this document contains the necessary programs for the proper functioning of the Museum and therefore includes the lines of action aimed at: Conservation of the theater and collections, The Study Center, Cultural and Educational Diffusion and digital transformation , with the extension of the activity contained in each of these lines being the axis that forms the backbone of the new 2024 Plan, at the same time we are committed to promoting the activity of the Institution by increasing its dynamism and visibility, and guaranteeing its opening, cleanliness and maintenance.
