Oriental Amphora, similar to Crypta Balbi Style. 6th-7th Centuries A.D

Together with North African amphora, oriental amphora also arrived in the city during the Byzantine era. It probably held the famous Gaza wine, as mentioned in numerous sources, such as by Isidoro de Sevilla (Etym. 20,3,7).
