CANTICA CANTICORUM DE VALLE DE AYBAR

Cantica Canticorum exposure in Cartagena Roman Theater Museum, shows a selection of 40 works of contemporary art by the artist Aybar Valley. This art project is the result of the encounter with the medieval manuscript of the Song of Songs in San Pedro de Roda, which was developed in the Scriptorium of the Monastery of Ripoll in the eleventh century and the artist located at the National Library of France Paris.
 
Cantica Canticorum us into the world of paper, calligraphy, books as guardians of knowledge, a personal and contemporary proposal where the artist, Mercedes Vallespín ¿Aybar¿ Valley, fuses and contents, from calligraphy words of the Latin text literary sensations that the poem suggests. Cantica Canticorum, is therefore, El Do plástico¿ Whisper Song of Songs, the mystical idea of symbolic and spiritual love. The distribution of the work in the museum hall is organized into four thematic blocks inspired by the verses of the song; I kissed passionately, Time Songs, Hill Sciptorium and myrrh and frankincense, in them we see all the energy that throbs in the biblical text played by the artist.
Aybar Valley is the stage name of Mercedes Vallespín a cartagenera artist who has over thirty years dedicated to the art world. He graduated in Fine Arts, Painting Section, Complutense University of Madrid, deepened in printmaking at the School of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid, focusing his creative activity in the intaglio, silkscreen and collage.
 
Created from his studio and workshop in the old dairy in Chamartin in Madrid, we Cantica Canticorum, an exhibition where the artist takes us through contemporary art in the most poetic and amorous verses, which can be seen from June 2 arrives until 28 August.
