The Roman Theatre Museum has scheduled various activities with Cartagena Port of Cultures for the month of February.

FESTUM ROMAE. Celebrate Carnival in the Roman theatre. Family activity

Participants will learn about the origins of carnival from Roman festivals such as Saturnalia, Lupercalia and Dionysia, and its relationship with ancient theatre. You will participate in games and riddles around the Museum, ending with a special parade in the Roman Theatre. You can come in your favourite costume.

Place: Roman Theatre Museum. Dates: Saturdays in February and March. Time: 11:30am. Price: €4. Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas €2.

LUCRECIA PRIMA, CITIZEN OF CARTHAGO NOVA. Guided tour

A guided tour that gives us an insight into the daily life of Lucrezia Prima in ancient Carthago Nova, visiting the main monuments of the city, from her family home, the Domus della Fortuna, continuing through the forum, the sanctuary of Isis, taking a relaxing bath in the thermal baths or attending the theatre with her husband.

Tour: House of Fortune, Forum District and Roman Theatre

Days: Saturdays in March and April

Time: 11:30 a.m. Departure from the House of Fortune.

Price: €16 individual, €14 reduced. Club Amigo and 8 Club Familia de Cartagena Puerto de Culturas: free.

FROM THE THEATRE TO THE PORTICO BEHIND THE SCENE. Guided tour

The route will begin with a visit to the Roman Theatre Museum, where we will be able to enjoy a new piece from the Museum, the pictorial panel of Mars recovered from the Theatre's portico. It will continue through the Museum's halls until reaching the magnificent Roman Theatre. Upon leaving the monument, we will continue towards one of the most typical corners of the old Fishermen's Quarter, the Callejón de la Soledad, to visit the newly recovered remains of the western portico, financed with NextGeneration funds.

Location: Roman Theatre Museum and western portico. Dates: Sundays in February and March. Time: 11:00 a.m. Price: €7.
