The Museum of the Roman Theater in Cartagena offers a workshop for high school students and high school result of collaboration between secondary school teachers and Museum, within the framework of cooperation between CPR seminar and Cartagena Roman Theater Museum.
In recent years the increase in parallel archaeological interventions to the development of research has resulted in not only the location and the study of some of the most important buildings of the ancient Carthaginian and Roman city, but has also led to the creation of new MUSEUMS and direct intervention for the enhancement of its monuments.

These interventions have in common the presentation, conservation and enhancement of the archaeological heritage of the city, so the trip to the ancient Carthago Nova becomes today a real history book, and a pedagogical experience first category.
The aim of the workshop is that students get a practical way to acquire a body of knowledge about the city in the ancient world: the Carthaginian foundation. The city as a stage of the contest between Carthaginians and Romans. The Roman conquest, commercial activity. Urbanism of Carthago Nova Roman: the walls, the houses, the forum, the thermal baths, buildings shows.
The dynamics of the workshop consists of several parts:
1.-party Theoretical: with a brief explanation and a power point students will become familiar with the city in ancient times through a historical journey through its urban structure, public spaces and private , buildings and their functions ... all this will gain a comprehensive understanding of the city at such an important time in our ancient history.
2. Part, Practice: students will be divided into groups, thus promoting teamwork, in order to get answer a series of questions that many of them find research by the museum itself. All this will promote learning, problem solving and thus promote a constructive learning experience.
3. Part guided tour: once acquired knowledge will enjoy greater satisfaction of the guided visit to the Museum and at the same Roman theater in the city.

AIMED AT:
Students Students from 3rd to 4th ESO and Bachiller

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS:
A group class, which in no case may reach 30 students.

DURATION:
The activity will take place from Tuesday to Friday, with a duration of 1,30h
